Due to the weak yen and ongoing annual cost increases, the Library has implemented a new strategy to determine journal subscription priority.
While striving to preserve e-journal packages whenever possible, we will also maintain a list of individual journal titles and databases ranked by usage.
This list will be used to determine which titles to continue when there is a budget constraint.
This year, a trial survey will be conducted to examine usage of e-journals that do not provide usage data, and print journals.
The results of this survey will ensure data efficacy, and will be followed by another survey in FY2026 to create a final list for the above purpose in FY2027.

Target: Hitotsubashi University Members *Faculty, staff and students with hit-u.ac.jp email addresses

Survey Titles: About 200 titles of foreign journals

The Library offers long-term loans for the Spring Vacation.

About Renewal

• Users can renew materials already borrowed into the long-term loan period, unless the materials are overdue or have been reserved by another user.
• Using MyLibrary, users can view their checked-out or reserved items and renew their loans.
• When using MyLibrary, users can renew into the long-term loan period from 9 a.m. on July 18.

Though you can return materials, because the library system cannot process the return, the materials will remain “on loan" until around 9:00 AM on 7/22.
※If the loan period of the materials is 7/21, we will extend to 7/22.

3. Extension of Return Dates
You cannot extend the return dates.
※If the loan period of the books is 7/21, we will extend to 7/22. Please renew them after MyLibrary resume (It is scheduled to resume around 22:30 on 7/21).
