LIBRARY SERVICES UNDER COVID-19 PANDEMIC
(April 5, 2021)
To prevent the spread of the COVID-19, Chiyoda Campus Library is open during the service desk hours only, and only to the members of the university.
Some carrels are available on request in advance only for reading non-circulating materials
such as master theses and journal issues.
A networked desktop PC and a PC for Japanese legal journals DVDs are available on request in advance.
Only the staff entrance is accessible. Please present the ID card before entering the library.
Please refrain from entering the library if you are unwell, such as fever, cough, feeling lethargic, or loss of smell and taste.
Users are required to wear masks.
Please refrain from staying for long time.
HOURS
Until Wednesday, April 7, 2021:
11:30am-2:30pm, 3:30pm-6:30pm
After Thursday, April 8, 2021:
1:15pm-4:00pm, 5:00pm-8:15pm
excepting Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays and from Dec. 27 through Jan. 4
(Users must leave the library at the closing times.)

MAKING REQUEST FOR A CARREL
Please send a request via e-mail to cyd-lib-ml at ad.hit-u.ac.jp with the subject “CARREL REQUEST” before the previous day of use including:
(1) Name
(2) Student ID or Faculty/Staff number
(3) The date and time
(Semester periods: 1:30pm-4:00pm or 5:30pm-8:00pm
Vacation periods: 11:45am-2:15pm or 3:45pm-6:15pm)
(4) Material (such as ‘Master theses’ and ‘Journal issues’)

ONLINE SEARCH FOR MASTER THESES (BIBLIOGRAPHIC INFORMATION AND CALL NUMBERS) FROM OFF-CAMPUSMaster theses could temporarily be searched via HERMES-Catalog from off-campus logging in to MyLibrary but it has not been accessible due to system failures. Please search on PCs on campus or see the list at the library.

Please return the items at the library service desk during the library hours.

Book Delivery Requests
The university members may make requests for delivery of books (excepting non-cirulating materials) to the main library via HERMES or MyLibrary.
Items are dispatched twice a week (usually Mondays and Thursdays).
Visitors
In-library use and photocopying (40yen per sheet) only
Photocopy
There is a card-operated photocopier for graduate students in the library (to be used only for library materials).
The copyright law should be observed.
Photocopy Delivery Requests
The university members may make requests for delivery of photocopies to the main library via MyLibrary (20yen per sheet).
