About TSR COMMONS
The Commons on the first floor of the Clock Tower Building is a learning space open to undergraduate and graduate students of Hitotsubashi University, where they can engage in in independent study activities. It is equipped with “1284 Wireless”, whiteboards, and other facilities. The space was opened as “Clock Tower Commons” on October 1, 2012, and it was renamed “Clock Tower Commons [TSR COMMONS]" on December 1, 2024 through a naming rights agreement.
How to use
- The Commons is available to students and faculty of Hitotsubashi University for individual and group study.
- No application or reservation is required.
- During open hours, please scan your IC card (student or staff ID card) at the card reader at the entrance to enter the room.
- Feel free to use the facilities inside the room.

- The Commons will be closed on library closure days.
- In the case of temporary closures or changes to the opening hours, it will be announced on the library’s website, etc.
Equipment and facility
The following equipment and facilities are available for use in the Commons.
- Wireless LAN
- Movable desks and chairs
- Whiteboard
Please share the equipment and use it considerately.
If you are unsure about how to use any equipment, please ask the library counter.
Notes
- Please do not use the Commons for any purposes other than study, research or academic activities.
- If you use any equipment in the Commons, please make sure to return it to its original state after use. In case of damage or lost, you will be required to repair or replace the item.
- Air conditioning, ventilation and lighting must be turned on by user and must be turned off after use.
- If you open the windows, please make sure to close them when you leave.
- As in the library, eating and drinking are prohibited in the Commons.
- However, hydration in sealed containers such as PET bottles is allowed. For more details, please refer to the following.
