Using the Stack Areas

Entry Procedure
- Please show your Library User ID for a key-card at the main counter.
- Users with bags should store them in a locker.
- Enter the stack area using your key-card at the card reader at the stack area entrance.
- When removing materials from the stack areas (for borrowing/viewing/copying), make sure you complete the relevant procedures at the main counter.
Important Points
- Money and other valuables should be kept on your person.
- Food and drink are not permitted in the stack areas.
Advance Application for Reserving Stack Area Materials
- Users not permitted to enter Stack Areas can use stack area materials by Advance Application. ＊It is a trial service.
- Please apply for reservation by the following method.
How to order
- Please apply by filling out the required information in the email form “Reserving stack area materials form“. Please use HERMES-Catalog（Hitotsubashi University Library Catalog）to check the Title, Call number and the Book ID of the material.
- We will inform you by email when the materials available.
- Materials will be held for 7 days. Please come to the circulation counter in open hour of the library and use them.

Notes
- You can reserve up to 5 materials par application.
- Microform materials, rare materials, and materials containing personal information (such as Hitotsubashi University Materials) are not covered by this service. Please refer to “Microform Materials" or “Rare Materials" for details.
- If you cannot use the email form, you can send email to <lib-service-order[at]ad.hit-u.ac.jp> ([at] => @) or ask to the counter on weekdays 9:00-16:45.
- It is difficult to use the materials on time, depend on the type or the condition of the materials, changing library hours, and other situation.
Same-Day Application
- Users who have not applied in advance, can use stack area materials by having library staff retrieve the materials for them.
- Please apply on weekdays between 9:00-16:45, at the main counter by filling in the required materials on a loan form.
- It will take some time to bring the materials from the stack areas.
