Academic Search Ultimate
A database of academic papers that covers a wide range of academic fields. It contains the full text of approximately 12,000 journals.

Business Source Ultimate
It contains the full text of more than 5,100 journals, centered on top-ranked journals in the fields of business, economy, and management.

Sociology Source Ultimate
A database containing full-text information on academic materials in sociology and related fields. Contains index and abstract information of about 6,000 magazines in sociology and related fields, of which more than 1,300 can be viewed in full text.

How to pre-sign up for trial

    *Please understand that the name and e-mail address of the student who applied will be notified to the service provider.
  • By the trial start date, the service provider will notify you by e-mail of the connection URL, ID / PW, and login procedure manual.

  • Regarding the use of FactSet Academic Package, the manual is open to the public only on campus.
  • Those who wish to try the databese are recommended to see this manuals in advance.

Suspension of Advanced Reservation

We will suspend reservations for materials, entering and graduation thesis reading seats. You can use them without reservation.

  • Reservation for materials: Until September 9, 23:59
  • Reservation for entering and graduation thesis reading seats: You cannot make a reservation after September 14.

The Library will be open from September 14.
However, in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 infection, there are restrictions on the opening hours and the number of reading seats.

  • Please refrain from entering the library if you are unwell, such as fever, cough, or feeling lethargic.
  • You must wear a mask. If you do not wear it, you will not be allowed to enter.
  • Please wash your hands or disinfect your fingers.
  • There are disinfectants for the desk on each floor. Please disinfect by yourself when using the reading seat.

Use of Library Materials

Checkout / Reservation

You can use it as usual.
In order to reduce contact, please use the self-checkout machine if possible.
You can apply the closed stack materials including graduation thesis on the day. (Cannot enter the closed stacks.)
Visiting to the Kodaira Research Library is not available.

Relaxation of the maximum number of books available for checkout

The maximum number of books that can be borrowed is relaxed as follows.
– Undergraduate students: 20 books (Usually 10 books)
– Graduate students: 60 books (Usually 30 books)
– Faculty and staff: 70 books *no change

Relaxation of the maximum number of renewal

Library materials that are not overdue and not reserved can be renewed more than 3 times. We will send you a reminder email 3 days before the due date, so please extend it via MyLibrary. Please return reserved books.

Requesting Photocopies from Other Libraries

*You can request via MyLibrary.
*Photocopies can be picked up at the Help Desk on weekdays from 9:30-17:00. Please note that we do not mail them to your home. *For students and faculty members of Kunitachi Campus, we started mailing photocopies of other library’s materials from December 14, 2020.
*Due to circumstances of other libraries, photocopy requests may be declined or taken more time than usual.

Requesting Books on Interlibrary Loan from Other Libraries

*You can request via MyLibrary. Graduate students can use the Public Subsidy Service for Interlibrary Loan.
*Loan requests are limited up to 5 books for each person. After returning all books at the Help Desk, you can add other requests up to 5.
*Books can be picked up at the Help Desk on weekdays from 9:30-17:00. Please note that we do not mail them to your home.
*Due to circumstances of other libraries, loan requests may be declined or taken more time than usual.

Measures to prevent infection spread

  • Staff are wearing masks.
  • There are acrylic boards in front of the counters.
  • We disinfect the reading seats once a day.
  • We disinfect printers, copiers, elevators, stair railings, and self-checkout machine three times a day.
  • We place the returned books on the bookshelf after being quarantined for more than 24 hours.
