You have to return all library materials if you will graduate or retire in March 2021.
Please check your lending status on MyLibrary.

All library services include MyLibrary will expire on March 31, 2021.
The expire date is different from some services of Information Systems Management Headquarters, for example Gmail.

You may return them to the book return drop outside of the entrance or also mail them back.

• Send them by traceable service. (ex: “Yu-Pack”, “Letter Pack” of Japan Post co., ltd.)
• Wrap the books in a plastic bag to prevent rain and water.
• Pay postage by yourself.

*If there is the product name area, please write “Return Book".

• For faculty and staff who will continue to be enrolled, please contact the counter. (Weekdays 9:30 – 17:00)
• For students who will continue to be enrolled with the same student ID(extension of enrollment period), we will extend the expiration date for the library using by March 25th.
  We will not extend the loan period, please renew with MyLibrary by yourself.
• For students who go on to a master’s or doctoral program at Hitotsubashi University or who will be employed on campus cannot take over the books on loan. Please return them once by March 31, 2021.

The computer area on the 1st floor will be unavailable due to routine maintenance on February 10 from 1pm until closing time.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

Due to the lighting work of the Periodicals Annex, noise may occur from 1/28 to 2/12.
Some areas will not be available on the following schedule.

The following materials placed on the 2nd floor of the Periodicals Annex will pickup by the library staff.
When you use them, please ask the staff at the counter.

The Library offers long-term loans for the spring holidays.

Period: from January 29 to March 31, 2021

• This does not include bound periodicals, and “not for loan” items.
• When the expiration date of the student ID card is earlier than the due date, the expiration date will be regarded as the due date.

Materials of the Chiyoda Campus Library

• Users can renew materials already borrowed into the long-term loan period, unless the materials are overdue or have been reserved by another user.
• Using MyLibrary, users can view their checked-out or reserved items and renew their loans.
• When using MyLibrary, users can renew into the long-term loan period from 9 a.m. on January 29.

12,000 academic ebooks published from 2012 to 2020 by Cambridge University Press or other partner press are now available. New titles will come up every month.

Partner press: Boydell & Brewer, Edinburgh University Press, ISEAS–Yusof Ishak Institute, Liverpool University Press, etc.

* Some titles are not available even if they are published from 2012 to 2020. Cambridge History Series, Cambridge Companion Series, Handbooks and Textbooks are also not covered.

* The library will choose ebooks when you send a purchasing request for the title within this package during this period as long as the contracted amount does not exceed. After the period, titles to be purchased are determined based on the usage reports indicating which titles are the most popular within the university during the period under an EBA model.
