HERMES-IR
HERMES-IR (Institutional Repository) is an archive which collects, preserves and disseminates digital copies of research outputs of the University. Ph.D. Students of the University can deposit their research outputs, such as journal articles, theses and dissertations, department bulletin papers, reports of Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (KAKEN), working papers, conference papers and presentations, books to HERMES-IR. Please let us know when you have any of those.

Please put books back in the original place after using them.
Please do not eat or drink. *Only drinks in sealed containers are allowed.
Please return books before due date.
Photography in the library requires prior application.
Our website will be down for maintenance from 18:00 on February 27th. The service suspension may change depending on situation. During maintenance, urgent messages will be posted on Facebook and Twitter. You can still use HERMES-Search, HERMES-Catalog, MyLibrary, and HERMES-IR. You can still use databases also via the Databases List and e-journals via the e-Journal / e-Book List or HERMES-Search. Some electronic resources are available from off-campus. When you access an e-resource from off-campus via the library’s respective search system, the Hitotsubashi Authentication ID Single Sign-On login screen will appear. Enter your Hitotsubashi Authentication ID and password to log in. We thank you for your understanding.
Due to repair work of compact shelving on the 3rd floor of the Library Main Building, some materials and reading seats will be unavailable.
If you need to use materials in the repair work area, please check them out before the work begins. During the repair work, you may reserve materials in the area. You will be able to use them after the repair work is complete. Learn more about reserving materials in this area.

Due to the changeover of staff ID cards, those who have gone through the procedure for issuance of a new staff ID card will be able to use the library with the old ID card until February 19, 2023. After February 20, please pick up your new ID card at the your department and use the library.
Entering the Library
Until you receive your new ID card, you can enter the library by the procedure for forgetting your staff ID card. Please ask the staff at the Circulation Counter.
Checkout (Borrowing)
Until you receive your new ID card, you will not be able to checkout books (including Same-day Checkout). If for some reason you need to checkout books before receiving your new ID card, please ask the staff at the Circulation Counter.
You can use MyLibrary regardless of whether you have a new or old ID card. Please use MyLibrary to extend the loan of a book you are currently borrowing.
