Periodicals Annex

  • The Periodicals Annex closes 30 minutes earlier than the Main Building.

Current Periodicals

  • Current periodicals (unbound periodicals: within one year of publication) are shelved on the 1st floor in title order.
    • Japanese periodicals: in syllabary order (alphabetic titles and University publications are shelved at the head).
    • Foreign periodicals: in alphabetical order.
  • Periodicals published about more than one year ago are bound and stored on the 3rd to 5th floors in call number order.

Bound Periodicals

  • Periodicals published more than one year ago are bound and stored on the 3rd to 5th floor in call number order.
  • Current periodicals (unbound periodicals: within one year of publication) are shelved on the 1st floor by title.

Newspapers

  • Recent newspapers from the last month can be found in the newspaper area on the 1st floor.
  • Stock periods depend on the titles. Please refer to HERMES or “Newspaper subscription list".
    • Newspaper Pocket Editions (Nikkei/Asahi/Mainichi/Yomiuri, others) are shelved on the 2nd floor.
    • Databases (Nikkei/Asahi/Mainichi/Yomiuri) are available. (Students and faculty only)

Chinese and Korean Books, Legislative/Judicial Precedent/Parliamentary Materials

  • Chinese books, Korean books, legislative materials, judicial precedent materials and parliamentary materials received from 1996 are shelved on the basement floor of the Periodicals Annex.

Others

  • EU i (European Info) is located on the 2nd floor.
  • Japanese White Papers (mostly government publications) are on the 2nd floor.
  • Japanese Statistics such as national censuses are shelved on the 2nd floor.
  • Japanese in the IIR classification system are shelved on the basement floor.
