Off-campus access to e-journals and databases

By logging in to MyLibrary, you can access e-journals and databases from off campus.

Method 1: Access from the database menu

  1. Login to MyLibrary.
  2. Navigate to the e-journal or database you wish to use via the Subject Gateway Menu of MyLibrary. Click on the title and get started.

Method 2: Access from the HERMES-Link

  • If you want to use the e-journals from HERMES:
  1. Login to MyLibrary.
  2. Click the HERMES-Link button found in HERMES, Google Scholar, databases, etc., and get started.

Notes

  • If the pop-up from “opac.lib.hit-u.ac.jp” has been blocked, you cannot use the Subject Gateway Menu. Release the pop-up blocking in your browser settings and restart the browser, then login to MyLibrary.
  • When you access databases or other resources without logging in to MyLibrary, you will be prompted for a login/password. Try again after logging in to MyLibrary.
  • When you access e-journals or databases directly from the HERMES-Link without logging in to MyLibrary, you will be prompted for a login/password. Use the login/password that you use for accessing MyLibrary.
  • Not all our e-journals and databases are available off campus due to technical or licensing issues.
    • Available databases and e-journals are listed in the Subject Gateway Menu of MyLibrary.

People who have off-campus access

  • Hitotsubashi University faculty or students, and
  • People who have a valid Ikkyo ID and have access to MyLibrary.
